Withdrawal symptoms

Santa Cthulhu…. eating the souls of bad little boys and girls since 1,000,000 BCE.

I’m back from a 24-hour power (and heat, and water) outage due to an ice storm. Needless to say, I was distraught when the Internet connection didn’t come back with the lights. But it’s back now and I’m all right. I managed to get in-world for a few minutes before taking a shower (priorities! Okay, my wife got first dibs on the shower) and the twitching has nearly stopped.

24 hours isn’t bad…once when I was 11 an ice storm knocked out everything for 4 days. We nearly went mad. Now I live in San Diego where I say HAHHAAH to ice storms. But earthquakes and wildfires came with the the deal, so it’s always somethin.

That must have been Hell, Garth. I get hives when LL blocks logins for their semi-weekly meltdown procedure.

You had power out too?? Where are you?

Power was out here at my school in Maine for 29.5 hours- and they moved all residents to the campus center (which had electricity thanks to a generator) so they could shut heat off in the dorms. It sucked hardcore but they played movies to keep us entertained. No interwebs though and sleeping on a gym floor was not so much fun :(

SO happy to be back though!

Close… southern New Hampshire. We’re the lucky ones. Lots of people in our town still without power.

Yikes! Yes you are lucky :D
